Professor Gordon Masterton   BSc, BA, MSc, DIC  FREng, FRSE, FICE, FIStructE, FIES, MCIWE OBE, HonDEng, HonDTech

 

Until 2015, Professor Masterton served as Vice-President of Jacobs Engineering. He’s a past president of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Engineers and Shipbuilders in Scotland, a former chairman of the Construction Industry Council, former Vice Chairman of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland, and the founder and current Chairman of the Scottish Engineering Hall of Fame. He represented the UK Government on the £15bn Crossrail project in London – Europe’s largest construction project to date – and was recently appointed to the Independent Assurance Panel for the HS2 high-speed rail link. With over 35 years of experience leading major infrastructure design, construction, and commissioning, he brings extensive expertise to his new role.
