The Govan Poohouse buildings which were erected in MerryFlats Estate, Shieldhall in the early 1870’s are still in use today as medical facilities at the Southern General Hospital. This is the story of the Poorhouse plus a sneak preview of the new South Glasgow Hospitals Campus, now nearing completion.
